Answer: Awesomeness!

Keith and I recently had the pleasure of photographing the G. Family at our favorite Orange County location—the Irvine secret spot!  While family sessions with dogs can be a bit tricky to manage, we knew we would have a fun time with this cute little family of three who had their pug, Lola, in tow.

I grew up with an energetic pug as the family pet, and over the years, I’ve missed the snorts, curly tail, and spunky personality that help define this dog breed. Meeting Lola helped bring all of those fun childhood memories back.

But enough about reminiscing.  How about some photos?!

We always try to start our sessions about 90 minutes before sunset to capture that magically soft afternoon sunlight.

Baby Nicolas wasn’t so sure about the new location or tall grasses surrounding him at first.  But he warmed up.

Thanks so much to the G. Family for making our afternoon so much fun!  And for letting us take turns holding Nicolas and Lola.  Both of the “kids” were great!

And before we go, here’s a behind-the-scenes shot of Keith at work.  We’ll do whatever it takes to coax a smile out of the little ones.

So without further ado, let me introduce you to Baby Parker.  How adorable is this little guy?

We photographed Parker at three weeks old.  Keith and I loved his full head of hair. We were also quite impressed at his strength.  In the shot above, he propped himself up for a few seconds after we set him on his belly. He’s a future athlete for sure.

Keith and I have been looking for ways to mix up newborn sessions.  We’re in love with all the great and creative crochet hats and diaper covers on Etsy.  We found this adorable bear hat through Crochet TLC.  Based on Parker’s expression, he may not have been in love with it, but we still think it’s pretty cute.

Thanks so much to the T. Family! We’re so thankful for the chance to spend the afternoon with you and meet the newest member of the family.

Since we needed a little western flair for the photos, we opted to meet at Irvine Regional Park in Orange.  The rustic wood fences that line the park’s pathways complemented Chloe’s outfit perfectly.  And check out her awesome hat and red boots!  The girl knows how to accessorize!

Thanks so much to Erica and Chloe for the fun morning session.  We’ll be on hand to photograph the party in just a couple months.  We can’t wait to help celebrate.

Kristina had ordered several prints of the girls from us and mentioned that she was going to have a few framed.  We love the quality of prints from our lab, Bay Photo, but we had no idea how great the framed images would look together.  And these photos she sent are proof of that.  Kristina obviously has a great eye and the photo groupings she created of each girl to hang in her living room look fantastic!  Thanks so much to the B. Springtime is a great time to take family photographs in the O.C.  And for this session, the C. Family took full advantage of the season with a fun morning session at Creek Park in La Mirada (yes, technically this is not Orange County… but it’s very close!). The two boys were adorable with their big smiles and matching white shirts, and they got along great during the portrait session.

We love these next two shots. The difference in their heights reminds of the old Cingular Wireless ads.
