Orange County Photographer | Orange County Wedding Photographer » Bridal Portraits http://www.loriandersonphoto.com Tue, 31 Jan 2012 05:01:43 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.1 2009 Year in Review: Trash the Dress http://www.loriandersonphoto.com/2010/02/04/2009-year-in-review-trash-the-dress/ http://www.loriandersonphoto.com/2010/02/04/2009-year-in-review-trash-the-dress/#comments Fri, 05 Feb 2010 05:27:59 +0000 Lori http://www.loriandersonphoto.com/?p=2029 Remember Sarah and Daniel from yesterday’s blog post?  During our bridal session with them last Fall, they looked adorable sitting and strumming a guitar in the golden glow of the late afternoon sun.  It’s no doubt this couple looked great on land, but how would they fare in the water?  At the end of the session, these two lovebirds willingly made their way to a nearby pond.  But don’t worry…if you look closely you’ll notice that Sarah didn’t wear her original wedding gown for this series of photos.  Instead, she quickly changed into a wedding dress she found on Craigslist for just $40.  Smart girl!

These two looked great—and kept laughing and smiling—as they inched their way into the water.  

By this point in the afternoon, we started to lose light fast.  But it was worth it.  The reflections in the water were awesome.

And it made for a few priceless moments.

To Sarah and Daniel…thank you for being such a fun-loving couple and for being so willing to brave the water.  This is one session we’ll never forget.  And we’re sure it will inspire some other adventurous brides who are planning their big day, or a day-after session.

And they are talented, too!  We had brought along this awesome red guitar (thanks, Dad!) as a prop.  We had no idea that any of the couples we’d meet that day could actually play.  But Daniel provided some fabulous music as he strummed through the session.  Plus, the red added a nice punch to the photos.
