Seal Beach Maternity Photos

Stephani and Alex are a typical Southern California couple: she’s blonde and bubbly, he’s rugged and personable. Oh, and when we met them they were expecting a baby girl—Ellie.

To celebrate the occasion, and to document the pregnancy, we took some maternity pictures in Seal Beach, which is a great location for either surf and sand or that old-town America feel. And it doesn’t hurt that there is a fantastic little bakery, Sweet Jill’s, halfway down the main drag with these delicious cinnamon rolls you can smell from a block away.

At any rate, we took this cute couple down Main Street, stopping to grab some pics wherever we found something interesting: brick walls, comfy benches and the like.

Then we made our way to the pier. Crowded spots can be a fun place for sessions. People walking by are usually curious about what we’re up to.

After we dipped our toes in the sand, we headed below the pier. It’s a great place to hide from the sun as long as you mind the birds and their *ahem* artifacts.

Happy Tuesday, folks! 2011 has definitely started off on the right foot. Keith and I have been busy planning a few tweaks to the website. We’ve also been studying the calendar planning dates for upcoming mini-sessions (e-mail us if you’re interested in one!). Sneak Peek: Seal Beach Maternity Session

Have you missed us? Our blog posts have been pretty minimal the last couple months. But, we have a good reason. This summer has been our busiest one yet. We’ve shot a number of portrait sessions, engagements, and weddings that have kept our weekends booked and many evenings spent editing photos for our awesome clients. Including this couple: Stephani and Alex. These two are expecting a little girl, Ellie, this fall.

For their maternity session, Stephani wanted a location that had both an urban and a beach vibe. I think we picked the perfect spot: Seal Beach!

We started out with a stroll along Main Street. Ellie is lucky to have such good genes to work with.

Then we made our way toward the Seal Beach pier. The pylons framed the happy couple perfectly.

Orange County Maternity Photos: Megan + Stuart!

Remember the sneak peek of this adorable duo?

When we last saw them we were eagerly awaiting the arrival of this little guy.

This morning we finally got the news we were waiting for…Baby William has arrived!!! He weighs in at 9 lbs 12 oz and is 22 1/4 inches long. We can’t wait to meet him in person.

Until then, we thought it was fitting to post a few more shots from Megan and Stuart’s maternity session in the historic district of San Juan Capistrano.

Congratulations to Megan and Stuart! And Happy Birthday to Baby William!

Sneak Peek: Baby William is on his way!

Our good friends Megan and Stuart are expecting their first baby and they were kind enough to give us the first shot at the little guy! We took them down to Los Rios Street in San Juan Capistrano, where they had their engagement pictures taken just a couple years ago.

Megan is beaming, isn’t she? With such good-looking parents, baby William will be a handsome little guy, no doubt!

Love that bump!
